YouTube pulls Columbine videos, not really (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

YouTube pulls Columbine videos:

This is an article from the BBC touting how YouTube has pulled a great deal of videos that glorify Columbine from their site. I thought to myself this is great, in theory. So I went to YouTube to check things out for myself. Nope, there is still a metric assload of Columbine videos on YouTube. Then I realized the person that the BBC interviewed was from Google UK. So I then thought that they must have pulled all the Columbine videos from the UK. No such luck there either. The very first video I clicked on was from Great Britain.

And again YouTube gives the same excuse that they depend on their users to flag inappropriate content. And again I say that’s flawed reasoning because the people who go to YouTube to see some funny cat video aren’t looking for Columbine videos and those that are aren’t going to flag the content.

Google can censor the entire country of China but can’t screen YouTube. Makes you wonder doesn’t it?

Was Dillard shooting preventable? (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Student may have told Dillard High officials about gun:

Police on Florida are investigating whether or not Teah Wimberly showed her gun to another student prior to her shooting Amanda Collette and whether or not that student told a school faculty member.

Some students are also saying that Wimberly had romantic feelings for Amanda and that’s what led to the shooting.

If that is the case Uncle Trench has to remind the kids again. Listen kids, again I’ll tell you, your romantic lives don’t end with whomever you fall in love with in high school. And no person out there is worth ending yours and somebody else’s life over. I know it doesn’t feel like that now but trust me. Once you get out of high school you’ll realize how unimportant it was in the grand scheme of things.

2nd man accused of plotting to kill Obama also argues bias:

18-year-old Paul Schlesselman, of Helena-West Helena (Hasenpfeffer Incorporated), Arkansas, has joined his co-defendant, Daniel Cowart, in requesting that the indictment against them be dismissed since all the jurors on the grand jury, except two, were black.

Would it have mattered if the jury was all white? Do hate filled assclowns like this think that all white people feel like they do?

This week on 48 Hours Mystery: The murder of Karen Tipton (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

align="center">A DOCTOR’S WIFE IS MURDERED, SPELLING TRAGEDY FOR TWO FAMILIES AS A YOUNG MAN?S LIFE HANGS IN THE BALANCE

align="center"> ?48 HOURS MYSTERY? REVEALS NEW DRAMATIC DEVELOPMENTS IN A RIVETING LEGAL BATTLE THAT HAS PUT JUSTICE ON TRIAL

> In March 1999, Karen Tipton, a mother of two and the wife of psychiatrist Dr. David Tipton, was found stabbed 28 times in her Decatur, Ala. home. And for the last nine years Daniel Wade Moore, who was convicted of the crime, has been at the center of an unprecedented legal battle, one that has his life hanging in the balance.

> Moore, a former drug user, was only 24 when he was arrested for Tipton?s murder after he confessed to his uncle that he had been present at the scene of the crime. While being questioned by police, Moore stabbed himself with a penknife, a move that authorities believe stemmed from his feelings of guilt. Moore, however, says that he is not guilty, explaining that he was getting high on drugs at the time he confessed to his uncle and that he had actually made up the story to get away from his relatives. Dr. Tipton and investigators found Moore’s explanation hard to believe. And despite questionable physical evidence, a jury agreed and Moore was sentenced to death for the murder of Karen Tipton. But this case was far from over.

> Two years into his death sentence, Moore?s conviction was overturned. While preparing Moore?s appeal, his attorneys discovered an FBI report with stunning information about the Tiptons. The defense accused prosecutors of hiding the file, which speculated that Karen led a secret life that included extra-marital affairs and suggested investigating her husband?s possible involvement in the crime. After years of legal wrangling, the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that Moore would be tried a second time.

> In February 2008, Moore returned to court, again facing the death penalty, his fate in the hands of 12 new jurors. Hoping to see justice served, both sides were dealt a shocking blow when the jury couldn?t reach a decision and a mistrial was declared. But in an ongoing journey of legal limbo, Moore, currently out on bond and relishing time at home with his family, prepares for yet a third death penalty trial.

> Karen Tipton?s tragic murder has left many victims in its wake ? two children forced to grow up without their mother, a husband who mourns his wife, a mother who stands by her son in his fight for freedom and Daniel Wade Moore who may be a casualty of the justice system.

> Erin Moriarty reports on this controversial legal battle on 48 HOURS MYSTERY: ”Truth on Trial,” Saturday, Nov. 15 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The real reason behind school shootings (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Study: Many Teens Overconfident, Have ‘Wildly’ Unrealistic Expectations:

Teens today are overconfident and harbor more unrealistic expectations than teens in the 1970s, a study published in the November issue of Psychological Science finds.

And researchers say the culprits behind the arrogance that many teens possess are their parents and teachers.

And this is why we have school shootings in my opinion. These kids think that they’re so special and that everything should be handed to them that they don’t know how to react when reality kicks them in the ass. Then when it does they lash out with extreme violence.

It isn’t bullying, it’s coddling.

Robertson trial moving to Santa Fe (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Football hazing trial moving to Santa Fe:

The trial for the Robertson High football players accused of sodomizing their younger teammates is being moved to Santa FE, NM from the small town of Las Vegas, NM.

Both the prosecution and defense agreed to this move since the topic has basically taken over the town.

For once I have no problem with a trial being moved because I think it’s already been shown that the suspects have been given preferential treatment.

Two Robertson Suspects Accused Of Violating Court Order:

The last we heard about the suspects in the Robertson High School hazing scandal they were placed under house arrest and some were also given the special privilege of being able to practice at a community center that the victims also attend.

Apparently that special treatment wasn’t enough since teammates Marcus Gutierrez and Santiago Armijo were picked up after attending a house party that were at neither of their houses.

Police Taser pallbearer (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

NC undercover officers use Taser on pallbearer:

This story has plenty of fail to go around.

Police in Wilmington N.C. Tasered a man while he was a pallbearer at his father’s funeral.

Relatives said two deputies dressed in coats and ties grabbed Russ and kneed him in his back before using a Taser on him. One deputy’s gun fell out of its holster.

Way to go there Barney.

Usually police only storm funerals or weddings when they’re after some high ranking member of organized crime. What did this guy do? He allegedly threatened his ex-wife who lives in another state. He even agreed to turn himself in after his father’s funeral. However it didn’t help his cause when he started spitting on police.

The local sheriff said the officers would be disciplined. I get the feeling the words ‘with pay’ will be involved.

Here I am stuck in the Dumpster with you (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Man accused of dousing neighbor for a ‘confession’:

If you suspected someone that lives on your property of stealing from you what would you do? I’d probably kick him off my property and call the police. I’m sure you would do the same. Then again we don’t live in ‘The Dumpster’.

John Black of Rochester, PA does. (That’s not a crack against Rochester. Dumpster is a state of mind.) When he thought a man living in a camper on his property was stealing from him he did things the Dumpster way. He bound the man with duct tape and poured gasoline on him then threatened to set him on fire if he didn’t confess.

It seems that someone has watched Reservoir Dogs one too many times.

Did teacher know about gun before Dillard shooting? (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Dillard Teacher May Have Known About Gun:

A teacher at Dillard high school may have had prior knowledge of Teah Wimberly having a gun has been placed on administrative leave.

There are several theories on whether or not the teacher knew before the fatal shooting of Amanda Collette. One says that a student received a text message about shooting from Wimberly and told the teacher. Another says the teacher wasn’t told until after the incident. And the last one says that the student and the teacher don’t speak the same language. There is also a fourth theory that says the student is full of it.

Personally I can’t think of any shooting that’s taken place in a school where a teacher had prior knowledge of a gun and didn’t do something about it.

According to the article it’s looking more like the teacher will be cleared according to sources.

Burn in Hell Rusty Yates (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

This morning I had the somewhat unusual experience of Trench asking me if I wanted to run with a story. He knows this is a story that has chapped my ass for many years, so of course I had no trouble saying yes.

It seems my favorite DSD (defective sperm donor, for those not familiar with the term) Russell ?Rusty? Yates is whoring himself in the media yet once again. The entire article can be read here but I?ll just highlight the parts relevant to me.

First and foremost is the fact that Yates himself never spent a second behind bars. The doctors told Rusty and Andrea because of the degree of her post-partum depression after her second or third child, it would be ill-advised to have any more. I always got the impression that in that marriage whatever Rusty-boy wanted, Rusty-boy got. He wanted more children, he got more children. It may never have occurred to Andrea to say no. They were a deeply religious family and in her mind it would have been a sin not to honor her husband?s wishes. So, at his urging she stopped her anti-psychotic medication in order to become pregnant again.

We all know how the story ends. Battling whatever demons were inside her brain at the time, and believing she was saving her children from going to hell, she methodically drowned all five of them. There was a public outcry for her execution, which the mother in me agreed with, but having suffered from a minor form of mental illness myself, I know that no rational human being would have done this.

My biggest problem with this whole story, indeed the biggest travesty of justice as far as I am concerned is that Rusty Yates never had to pay any sort of price for the deaths of his children. He wanted more children. He convinced her to stop her meds in order to become pregnant again. He dismissed her previous suicide attempts in order to get what he wanted ? more children. How?d that work for you Rusty?

Then he pledges to stand by Andrea through thick and thin. Yeah, that lasted. [/sarcasm]

Now he?s married to the second Mrs. Yates, Lisa, with a new infant son Mark. One has to wonder how long it will be before there are more children. One also has to wonder if his new wife is that insecure that she thought she?d never land a better man, or is she mentally ill as well. Those are the only two conclusions I can come to as to why any woman in the world would EVER marry Rusty Yates. They have already had a child, a beautiful son. Does Rusty look at him every day and suffer over the lives of his lost children. I hope so. I also pray every day that the current Mrs. Yates will wise up, take her child, and get as far away from Rusty as soon as possible. Can you imagine that child growing up hearing stories about his father?s ex-wife? You know it will only be a matter of time before he realizes his father was not innocent in the whole matter. And that will be one more child lost to Rusty.

Andrea Yates is now in a psychiatric facility receiving the care and counseling she so desperately needs. On her most coherent days, she realizes what she has done. That must be a horrible thing to live with. Rusty apparently has no such qualms. In my humble opinion, he should be serving a life sentence. He is just as guilty, if not more so than Andrea. What man (and I use that term very lightly) pressures his wife for more children knowing it?s endangering her mental health, and the safety of the children? A fucking weak, spineless coward, that?s who. He should be serving a life sentence in prison. He should also be castrated before he can bring any more innocent children in to the world to be destroyed.

This case has disturbed me for so many years that I become violently ill whenever I hear his name. Law enforcement may never be able to punish him, but just remember Rusty?karma is a bitch. One of these days you will have to stand before your Creator, and I can?t imagine that he?s going to be thrilled to see you. One can only hope that God feels the same as many of us and Rusty will spend the rest of eternity burning in hell.

2nd arrest in Montrose slashing (TheTrenchcoat Chronicles)

Police in Montrose, Colorado have arrested another 14-year-old boy in connection with the knife attack of Mallory Haulman. This boy actually does attend Montrose High School where the slashing took place. He’s being held on conspiracy charges.

The parents of the 2nd suspect are saying that their child is being ‘railroaded’

The second suspect’s mother said her son was friends with the boy who allegedly attacked 17-year-old Mallory Haulman as she entered school with her sister Tuesday. However, her son had not seen the suspect for months. She said her son encountered the suspect, who invited him to “ditch” with him.

But then, the woman said, the suspect boasted of having “stabbed a girl.” Her son said he didn’t believe him, but then was shown a knife and became alarmed.

“It’s like guilt by association,” the second suspect’s father said. “That’s how it feels.”

My question is did the pair actually have enough time to discuss the attack after it happened since the first suspect was arrested so quickly.

Mallory’s father says that she did not know the 2nd suspect either.
